South Trails was built in Madurai, in the shadow of the Meenakshi Amman Temple, by a team that grew up guiding relatives through South India's temples, hills and backwaters.
Our Story
South India Holidays Trip began as a two-person operation running a single Madurai–Rameshwaram temple circuit for visiting relatives and friends-of-friends. Word travelled faster than we expected, and by the second year we were mapping routes across Tamil Nadu and into Kerala.
Today we run more than 60 itineraries covering temple circuits, Kerala backwaters, Nilgiri hill stations and coastal towns — but every route still starts the same way: someone on our team has actually walked it.
Our Values
We tell you when a "must-see" isn't worth the detour, and route around temple festival crowds instead of into them.
Drivers, guides and homestay partners are hired from the districts they operate in.

Our Experience
